Snorkelling at goat island

Yesterday my class, room 6 and some other people went to goat island. On the previous Friday we went to Jellicoe pools to learn how to snorkel. So when we got to goat island we already new how to snorkel. The group I was in got to go snorkelling first, I loved looking at all the fish we saw some massive snapper one was about 58 cm long and 13 cm wide. We also had to swim/snorkel over lots and lots of kelp.
 When we got out of the water and had taken off our wet suits and stuff. We had something to eat and drink then we went down to the water to explore, some people paddled in the water my friends and I stood on a rock and looked at the water suddenly we saw some eagle rays, they started swimming around the rock we where standing on and the pool that we were next to. Later on we saw an eel in the stream that flowed into the sea. I had a great time and I hope every one else did to.

Today we had to write down words that described the sea.

I think nearly all of them describe the sea some of them have more meaning than others.

WPCA Caving😀

22.10.2019 Wesley int WPCA group went caving. When Miss Davis told us we were going caving most of us were super excited. 

On the day we went we were all ether super excited or really nervous. When we got into the cave and we heard running water and we got told we had to walk through it. We were all so interested in all the little details and crevasses. When we came to a place where we had to crawl it was quite long. In one place where it got quite low I tried to crawl on my tummy, but that didn't really work and I head planted into the water. When we got quite close to the end of the cave we heard some water dripping down. It actually turned out to be a lot of water, it was dripping on to a huge stalactite. The water had made the top of the stalactite completely flat.

After we had all got changed into dry clothes and had lunch Helene and I asked if we could play in the stream, and we were allowed. There was a tree overhanging the stream so we used that to get in and out of the stream. After just playing about by the tree Helene and I and later Josh decided to wander down stream. We all had lots of fun.😀

Ski Trip

August 26th-28th On the first day of ski trip we needed chains to get up the mountain, So we where waiting for a shuttle at the chateau. After a while because the shuttle took forever we decided to go to the nation army museum, do a walk around Rotopounamu lake and then we went to the hot pools, instead of going skiing.

I did something slightly different because we stayed somewhere else.

That evening my family and I went to Pipers ski loge to have diner with everyone else the WPCA students went upstairs to get something ready as it was miss Davis birthday. We had got her the WPCA T-shirt and written our names on the back of it.

On the second day we actually got to go skiing. I liked skiing with my friends and helping them. I already knew how to ski and quite got so I had some good tips.
Nearly everyone got to ski the rock garden, and we all had so much fun.
